WHAT IS PHRAZLE?

Phrazle is a word puzzle in which you guess an entire phrase within six attempts. The spaces are already shown, revealing how many words the answer contains and how long each word is. After every guess, colored tiles help you work out both the letters and the phrase they form.

HOW TO PLAY PHRAZLE

Fill the row with valid words that match the spaces on the board, then submit your guess. Use the resulting clues to adjust your next attempt. You win when every letter in the phrase is in the correct place.

Read the Tile Colors

Green: The letter is in the correct word and position.
Yellow: The letter is in the correct word but in a different position.
Purple: The letter appears in another word in the phrase.
Gray: The letter does not appear in the phrase.

The distinction between yellow and purple matters: move a yellow letter within its word, but look for a place for a purple letter in another word.

SEE HOW A GUESS HELPS

Suppose the hidden phrase is BREAK THE ICE and you enter CABLE THE SUN. This is an illustrative example, not a current puzzle.

The A in CABLE belongs in the first word but is in the wrong position, giving you a yellow clue. The C belongs in ICE, so it gives you a purple clue. THE is correct and can stay where it is.

For the next attempt, you can focus on rearranging the first word and testing C in the last word. One guess has helped narrow down two parts of the phrase.

TIPS FOR SOLVING PHRAZLE

Use the word lengths. A short word or a familiar phrase pattern may help you identify the expression.
Keep confirmed positions. Build each new guess around the green tiles you already have.
Check the phrase as a whole. A possible word still needs to make sense with the words around it.

The best next guess uses what each color tells you while bringing the full phrase closer to a natural expression.
