WHAT IS QUORDLE?
Quordle is a word puzzle that challenges you to find four hidden words across four separate boards. In Classic mode, each answer contains five letters, and you have nine shared guesses to solve them all. Every word you submit produces feedback on the unfinished boards, so one attempt can reveal several useful clues. The challenge is deciding when to gather more information and when to commit to an answer before your remaining guesses run out.
ONE GUESS, FOUR SETS OF CLUES
Enter a Word and Read Each Board
Use the on-screen keyboard to enter a valid five-letter word, then select Enter to submit it. Backspace removes a letter before submission. Your guess is checked against each unfinished board, with colored tiles showing how the letters match:
- Green: The letter is correct and in the correct position.
- Yellow: The letter belongs in the answer but occupies another position.
- Gray: The letter is absent, or that occurrence exceeds how many times it appears in the answer.
Read each board separately. A gray letter on one grid may still be useful elsewhere.
A Guess Example
Suppose you enter STARE and receive these clues:
- Top left: S is green, T is yellow, and A, R, E are gray.
- Top right: S, R, E are yellow; T and A are gray.
- Both lower boards: Every letter is gray.
The first answer starts with S and contains T somewhere other than the second position. The second contains S, R, E in different positions. The lower answers exclude all five letters.
You win only by finding all four answers within the allowed guesses. Completing three boards is still an unfinished puzzle.

Unlimited and Extra Puzzles
Practice provides unlimited Classic rounds, while Casual removes the guess limit within each round. Choose Practice to work on efficiency or Casual to solve without running out of attempts.
The 4-Letter and 6-Letter variants change the word length while retaining nine guesses. Themed Packs group puzzles around subjects such as animals, food, and music, giving you a useful clue about possible answers.
For earlier challenges, open Archive. Replaying archived puzzles does not affect your streaks or statistics.
MAKE YOUR REMAINING GUESSES COUNT
Start with a word containing several different letters, such as STARE or CRANE. Use the next guess to investigate letters you have not tested, especially when the opening reveals little. Choosing words with overlapping letters can leave important possibilities unexplored.
Shift your attention between boards as the clues develop. When one answer becomes clear, submit it: that guess may also provide useful feedback elsewhere. Keep separate mental notes for each grid so that excluded letters do not get confused.
Avoid repeatedly guessing words that differ by only one letter. If several answers fit the same pattern, a word testing multiple possible letters may separate them more efficiently. Remember that answers can contain repeated letters. Finally, compare your remaining guesses with the number of unsolved boards before spending another turn purely on investigation.
TRACK PROGRESS AND ADJUST YOUR GAME
Daily statistics show games played, win percentage, current and maximum winning streaks, and the guess distribution for completed puzzles. Achievements provide additional milestones as you play.
Settings include Dark Mode, Colorblind Mode, adjustable keyboard height, and display sizing. You can also switch the positions of Enter and Backspace. Begin with Practice or Casual to become comfortable reading four boards, then choose a Daily challenge that matches your confidence.
