FURDLE: FIVE LETTERS, SIX CHANCES TO FIND THE WORD

Furdle is a Wordle-style puzzle that challenges you to uncover a hidden five-letter English word in six guesses. Each attempt adds new clues to the board, helping you identify useful letters, rule out possibilities, and work toward the answer. Play directly in your browser without creating an account.

YOUR FIRST WORD SETS THE PUZZLE IN MOTION

The Furdle board contains six rows of five squares, with each row representing one guess. Enter a valid five-letter word using your physical keyboard or the on-screen keys, then press Enter to submit it. Use Backspace or the delete button to correct letters before submitting.

Your opening word gives you the first information about the hidden answer. A word containing several common letters can be a useful starting point, but the feedback matters more than the opening itself. Once the tiles change color, use what they reveal to choose your next attempt.

READ THE COLORS, RETHINK YOUR NEXT GUESS

Furdle uses three tile colors to show how each submitted word relates to the answer. Reading them together helps you narrow the possibilities.

Green Means Keep the Position

A green tile means the letter belongs in the answer and occupies the correct position. Keep that letter in place as you build your next guess. Each confirmed position reduces the number of words that could fit.

Orange Means Move the Letter

An orange tile means the letter appears in the hidden word, but somewhere else. Try moving it to another available position while keeping any green letters fixed. Avoid submitting another guess with that orange letter in the same incorrect spot.

Black Helps Narrow the Options

A black tile generally indicates a letter you can eliminate. However, repeated letters need closer attention: if one copy is colored and another is black, your guess may contain more copies than the answer does. Read the whole row before deciding which letters to discard.

A DAILY CHALLENGE, WITH LOCAL PLAY TOO

Furdle includes a Daily Challenge and a Local game option. The daily puzzle refreshes at midnight UTC, giving players a new word to solve each day.

After completing the Daily Challenge, you can share your result. The completion screen also reveals the answer and displays a countdown until the next daily puzzle becomes available.

Local play provides another way to use Furdle outside the daily challenge. These options give the game both a daily routine and a separate place to explore its word-solving format.

COME BACK TO YOUR BOARD AND TRACK YOUR RESULTS

Furdle saves your progress, allowing you to return to an unfinished puzzle and continue from where you stopped. The on-screen keyboard also changes color as you play, keeping previously tested letters visible.

The All Games page records completed results, including the outcome, attempts used, solving duration, and date played. A miniature board helps you review how a game unfolded.

For appearance, choose between light and dark modes in Settings. There is also a New word alerts option for notifications when a fresh daily puzzle arrives.
