OCTORDLE: SOLVE EIGHT WORDS AT ONCE

Octordle takes the familiar Wordle formula and spreads it across eight boards. Every guess brings a different set of clues to each puzzle, challenging you to track several answers at once. In the classic format, your goal is to uncover eight five-letter words within 13 guesses.

GAMEPLAY

Enter a valid five-letter word and press Enter to submit it. Your guess appears across all eight boards, where each puzzle checks it against a different hidden answer.

Read the feedback on each board:

• Correct letter, correct position: Keep that letter in place when building your next guess.
• Correct letter, wrong position: Try the letter elsewhere in the word.
• Letter absent: Look for other letters to complete that board’s answer.

The same letter can receive different feedback across the boards. A letter that is absent from one answer may be essential to another.

Once you solve a word, its board locks, allowing you to focus on the remaining puzzles. Complete all eight before your shared guesses run out to win.

One Guess, Eight Sets of Clues

Imagine entering CRANE as your opening word. One board might confirm C in the first position, while another reveals that A belongs somewhere else. Neither result tells you how those letters behave on the other six boards.

This is the central challenge of Octordle: use information from every board while keeping each answer’s clues separate.

CHOOSE YOUR CHALLENGE

This version offers several ways to play, with different guess limits and puzzle structures.

• Daily Octordle: The classic daily challenge with eight words and 13 guesses.
• Daily Chill: Everyday words and a more forgiving limit of 16 guesses.
• Daily Extreme: Rarer words with only 12 guesses available.
• Daily Sequence: Boards unlock one at a time, with 15 guesses in total.
• Daily Rescue: Four guesses have already been played. Finish the puzzle in nine more.
• Weekly Challenge: A tough weekly puzzle that unlocks after winning a daily game.

For repeat play, Octordle Unlimited lets you start fresh games and choose word lengths from four to eight letters. Themed packs offer five puzzles per theme, while language options provide additional vocabulary challenges.

FEATURES THAT HELP YOU FOLLOW ALL EIGHT BOARDS

• The keyboard divides each key into eight small sections, matching the order of the boards. This lets you compare a letter’s feedback across the puzzles.
• Board navigation buttons help you move between answers, while the progress indicator tracks solved boards and used guesses. You can also show or hide the timer.
• An archive provides access to past daily puzzles. Progress, statistics, and achievements are saved in the browser you use.
